EVERGREEN PARTNERSHIP AT T.O.A.E!

I am super excited to share with you BRAND NEW - hot off the press - information!
I will be partnering with Evergreen at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition!

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Well.....a few years ago I donated a portion of my sales from the T.O.A.E. to The David Suzuki Foundation, and it was wonderful (for both them and me)!! Since then, I have been feeling that my donation dollars would be more effective if they were locally spent - and I have been searching for the right fit for my next partnership! So, this year, I will be donating a portion of the sales from my work to Evergreen!!

WHY??
It's simple. When you do good, you feel good.
My work is about being topical, and humorous......I stand by my commitment to put positive energy into this world......to be the change I want to see in our world.........and sometimes, that means you just gotta put your money where your mouth is! I am hoping to help increase awareness for Evergreen, the importance for EVERYONE to give back, and hopefully to generate a bunch of dough for a great organization, that does a lot of great stuff!!

WHAT DOES EVERGREEN DO?
I am soooo glad you asked!!

Evergreen offers a range of services, resources and funding to people interested in greening across the country. We have three main areas of programming: for school grounds; for community and public spaces, and your grounds at home.

At Evergreen, they have turned vacant lots into community gardens, naturalized open spaces, created habitats, and protected interior and perimeter urban greenbelts. Evergreen's team of ecologists, environmental educators, urban planners, social workers, community animators and food gardening specialists has a proven ability to conserve, regenerate and sustain nature in urban environments.

You can celebrate nature in the city year-round! Evergreen Brick Works is Canada’s first large-scale environmental community centre–a national centre for exploring, debating and taking hands-on action to create more sustainable cities.

I did a post about The Brickworks last year, and also created this painting from the inspiration I felt after that visit:
"Judgement", 24" x 18" Acrylic on mixed media -- AVAILABLE NOW!!
So, come out on to the 52nd T.O.A.E. (Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto City Hall) and get some more information - I will have some hand outs for you! Better yet, come out and support a great organization and take home a FANTASTIC piece for your art collection!!!
Remember, it runs.....rain or shine.....
Friday July  5th (10:30am-7:30pm), Saturday July 6 (10:30am-7:30pm) and Sunday July 7 (10:30am- 6:30pm). I really hope to see you there!!!
