WW83: CONAN XXX, WTF AND KAROTO

WELCOME TO WEDNESDAY!
Here are 5 things that I think are WONDERFUL this week!
Enjoy:

1.) Hey nerds - how about this one??!! Italian artist Franco Recchia gives new life to computer parts by reusing them into nifty miniature city skylines !

2.) This peeler is super fantastico (or as super fantastico as a peeler can be) "Karoto" is a carrot peeler and sharpener by israeli designer Avichai Tadmor for Monkey Business. It is basically a scaled-up version of the classic manual pencil sharpener (for those of you kids who don't know about pencils - they are the pre-cursor to the computer keyboard).

This great kitchen gadget makes curly ribbons of carrots, cucumbers, zucchinis and other oblong shaped produce for salads and other dishes. And it is only $15 bones y'all!

3.) Hey......do you like comedy and swearing??? Or rather....do you like to hear swear riddled comedic podcasts??? Let me recommend WTF with Marc Maron. Ok.....I know this one is gonna be a super shock to people. Marc is a comedian who is very caustic.....and perhaps a bit much for those of you with delicate sensibilities. Maron has a twice-a-week podcast that features interviews with fellow comedians, both old friends and acquaintances. In a free-form discussion, Maron and his guests touch on topics like the arc of the interviewees' careers, shared past experiences, and stories from the road.

WTF is currently recorded in his garage, with the bulk of the guests meeting him there, though he does have a mobile set up to take to guests. WTF has reached No. 1 on iTunes comedy section numerous times. Though it is a free podcast, it has a number of rotating sponsors and accepts donations.
At first he drove me crazy!!! But now I thoroughly enjoy his podcasts. They are funny and very enlightening. I MUST recommend them to you!!! As long as you can get over "I just shit my pants" as a catchphrase...you will be fine! Check it out in ITunes TODAY!

4.) These images from Shawn Clover are really awesome. (You can see more on his website HERE) In 1906 a massive earthquake destroyed San Francisco, killing thousands and creating destruction throughout the city. Over 100 years later, photographer Shawn has created a series of composite images using a variety of vintage photos of the devastation mixed with scenes from modern day San Francisco. Check these out:

(thanks to Architizer for this one!!)

5.) Conan XXX. Go check it out it is SO GOOD!! For example:
